7 Acupressure points to ease back pain

Regardless of age, there can be various reasons behind back pain problems, such as low back pain caused by physical pain, gastrointestinal weakness, sciatica, and other unilateral movement.

Pressing following seven acupressure points can effectively improve and relieve back pain problems.

Tip: Before massaging these points it is recommended to do hot towel compress on these areas for fast and effective result.

POINT 1

This point is particularly effective in acute low back pain, that occurred due to exercises like waist twist, or maintaining the same posture for long time.

It is located in the middle of the back of the index finger and middle finger bones cut-off point, and an intermediate ring finger and little finger bones demarcation point.

Stimulate or massage this acupressure points for 1 to 2 minutes, for 2 to 3 times a day, to alleviate back pain.

POINT 2

 

 

This point is effective for back pain that occur due to edema, cold, and menstrual flow.

It is located in front of the body, behind the smallest waist height, distance between two points outside of the spine, at two fingers distance.

Start with a gentle massage by keeping hands on the hips, urging the side with the thumb while rotating on these points to stimulate them.

It is often helpful on the onset of chronic low back pain, it can effective to ease these pain symptoms.

POINT 3

This point is helpful to deal with chronic low back pain caused by stiff body. Pressing and massaging these points helps to promote blood circulation and secretion of corticosteroids, highly recommended for people with bad memory or feel tired easily.

It is located at the back of the spine, the outer two fingers, you can try pressing thumb from the outside to the inside.

Massage this point in a day for about 5 to 10 times.

POINT 4

This point is useful for not only back pain, but also for constipation, diarrhea, sciatica and other problems.

It is located on the top of the pelvis, vertebrae from the two outer two fingers distance.

You can use the thumb pressing for 3 seconds and relax for another 3 seconds, repeat several times.

POINT 5

This acupressure point helps to ease back pain effectively, promote blood circulation, relieves fatigue and edema of the legs.

It is located in the center of the concave portion of the bone between the outer ankle and Achilles tendon.

Stimulate this point with thumb by pressing for about 2 to 3 seconds then repeat for about 3 to 5 minutes.

POINT 6

This point helps to solve the back pain  problem caused by carrying heavy loads or weights.

It is located at the center of the feet when bend upward, inside the recessed position tendon and ankle bone.

For effective results, press with thumb on this point, for about 3 to 5 seconds and then release, then repeat for 3 to 5 minutes..

Note : Avoid  strong stimulation of this point.

POINT 7

Stimulating this point helps to relive chronic low back pain, improve the surrounding sacral pain, pelvic pain and stomach, hay fever, insomnia and other symptoms.

It is located on the inside ankle bone protruding a distance of thumb.

Press this point with thumb for about 3 to 5 seconds and then release, then repeat the stimulus of about 3 to 5 minutes.
